The following is very much a Bant.

Dear 64 (and counting) Subscribers,

I’ve been 26 years of age for a month and a half now, and I have learned nothing. In the sense that it feels like I just continued with things where I left off at 25, and I’m not okay with that, so I’m going to do something about it. Some things, actually.

Happy new year, let’s get you up to speed on the essentials.

I wrote a feature film that’s screened at festivals in Africa, Europe and the Americas. You can pay to watch here for N10,000.

I’ve directed three short films of my own, one of which is also screening at a festival rn. This year I plan to at least double that count by collaborating with a flurry of… peeps.

My podcast went on an unplanned, practically year long hiatus but it’s back now. I’ve been too scared to do any publicity. Sigh. Listen at any of these links. I promise it’s super hilarious.

I got a job job. I don’t like to talk about that, but I work at an NGO now... as the only employee.

I have a girlfriend, and in about a few days we’d have been dating for 8 months. She has many names. I’m not even joking, she has like 9 and those are just the ones on paper. She’s a lawyer that runs a business with her best friend. They create photo books. You can check them out and PATRONISE here.

I’ve slacked on a lot of creative ideas related to voice overs this past year. I feel like I’m in a rut, maybe,

I’m seeing some pretty decent spiritual growth, I’m really happy about that.

I was a speaker at Ake festival in November, which was SO lit—pun intended.

I went to London for a wedding. No extra context required, except that my pockets are still recovering.

I’ve been reading more this year, and I’m happy about that. I developed a trick called my ‘rule of four’. It’s... SMART.

I’m working on a musical now, a feature film. It’s crazy, which is why it’s on brand. It’s gonna accomplish a lot. Check out this SHORT survey I created for it.
